Swim Squads

Make friends, get fit and swim competitively in our junior and senior squads.



The number one priority at this stage is skill and stroke development including a range of drills as opposed to physical conditioning. As well as refining strokes the swimmers will learn and practice the butterfly stroke. Dives turns, training routines e.g. interval training with pace clock and sprinting are also a priority.

Training Days and Times

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday - 3.30pm to 4.30pm

Saturday - 8.00am to 9.00am


Squad- Gympie ARC



Development squad swimmers will refine all strokes with the use of technical drills. The medley phase of training is a high priority in this group. As well as dives, starts, and turns. It will also introduce medley turns.

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday - 4.30pm to 6.00pm

Tuesday & Thursday - 6.00am to 7.30am

Saturday - 7.00am to 8.00am



Squad- Gympie ARC



Although a greater emphasis is placed on physical conditioning at this level, the top priority continues to be refinement and development of good technique. At this stage of training all swimmers should be able to swim each stroke with sound technique, assuming this to be true it is appropriate to introduce the following:

- Individual Medley Phase - Aerobic Phases - Speciality Phase - Adaption Phase

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday - 6.00am to 7.30am

Monday, Tuesday & Thursday - 4.30pm to 6.00pm

Wednesday - 5.00pm to 6.30pm

Saturday - 7.00am to 8.00am
